Moe Harkless, a former wing for the Portland Trail Blazers, has had a very active week. The 29-year-old Harkless has been dealt three times this summer, including twice in the past week. He spent the year with the Sacramento Kings but was moved to the Atlanta Hawks in the middle of the year in exchange for Kevin Huerter.
On Tuesday, Harkless was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder, marking his second trade in as many days. On Thursday, the Rockets, who are currently undergoing a rebuilding period, acquired Harkless as part of a deal involving eight other players.
I asked Mark Daigneault about the Vit Krejci trade
Said Moe Harkless’ status with the team is up to Sam Presti & spoke highly of Krejci’s time with the team after talking to him last night pic.twitter.com/s3lnA1xGuw

Furthermore, Grant Afseth of Fan Nation reports that Harkless will be on the move once more. Would Portland be a good fit for Harkless if he were to move? Harkless spent three seasons with the Blazers (2015-19), giving him valuable experience alongside stars like Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic. Although his postseason experience could be valuable to the Blazers, his actual play would not justify his signing.
Before Harkless would get any court time, players like Josh Hart, Justice Winslow, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson would, and there aren’t many lineup permutations that wouldn’t include at least one of those players.
It would be great to have Harkless back on the club for the nostalgic value and the boost to team spirit he would provide, but Moe’s return to Rip City is quite unlikely. Those in the BE community, what do you think? Share your thoughts down here.
