After his outrageous performance on Monday night drove the Brooklyn Nets to a significant victory over the Orlando Magic, Kevin Durant sent the NBA Twitterverse into a frenzy.
Given that Durant is one of the best scorers of his generation, it is not unexpected to watch him rake in buckets at a rapid clip. But what he accomplished in the confrontation with Orlando was pure wizardry. KD not only scored 45 points in a flash, but he also did so very effectively, making 19 of 24 field goal attempts. Though he made six mistakes, his seven rebounds, five assists, two assists, two thefts, and two blocks more than made up for it.
As expected, Durant’s incredible performance impressed many NBA stars, with Jamal Crawford remarking that “KD is better than he’s ever been!”
“The top hoopers continue to play for the love of the sport. George Karl, a former NBA head coach, continued, “Kevin Durant does what he does because he loves it.
Meanwhile, other fans couldn’t help but highlight how Durant simply went all-out, making the most of his offensive resources. He only attempted five deep shots, making three of them, and added four free throws.
“Kevin Durant is demonstrating how to shoot hoops. No displays, no-nonsense. He is simply cooking the snot out of anyone in his path. By far the best shot creator in the NBA,” said another supporter.
Kevin Durant is the best basketball player on the planet, said another Twitter user. And that’s all.

The Nets are now 11-11 on the season after two straight victories. It has to be seen if they can maintain the positive trend, but with Durant’s performance, there is undoubtedly more hope that they can.
