Neco Williams Sign

It has been confirmed that Neco Williams has signed a four-year deal with Nottingham Forest for £16 million from Liverpool. During the second half of last season, Fulham loaned the 21-year-old Williams away, where he made 14 league games, scoring twice and assisting twice.

On the move, Williams remarked, “I’m incredibly thrilled to join Nottingham Forest and to assist this wonderful team to grow forward.” “I can’t wait to experience the City Ground in full voice in the coming weeks as a fan of Nottingham Forest and the club’s rich history.

Having met the head coach, I can’t wait to join my new teammates and prepare for the battle ahead.”

Steve Cooper, the manager of Nottingham Forest, remarked, “Neco has already established himself in Wales starting XI.” “During the last 12 months, he has played in the Premier League, Champions League, and World Cup qualifiers, and he is a talented right back.

“When Nottingham Forest returns to the Premier League, we expect him to play an important role in the team’s success. That he’s joining us is a source of great joy.” Awoniyi, Moussa Niakhate; Dean Henderson; Giulian Biancone; and Omar Richards are Cooper’s other summer acquisitions. The right time for Williams to leave Liverpool, according to Richard Morgan of Sky Sports.

A deal for Neco Williams has finally been struck between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest after more than a decade at Anfield. At barely six years old, he joined Liverpool’s academy, however, he has made just 33 appearances since his debut against Arsenal in the League Cup in October 2019.

Liverpool’s decision to recruit Aberdeen right-back, Calvin Ramsay, this summer may have ultimately convinced the player to leave Merseyside despite earning a Premier League champions medal in 2019-20.

In addition, the 21-year-old is now a major member of Rob Page’s Wales team, and he will no doubt be thinking ahead to this winter’s World Cup finals in Qatar when he decides to leave Liverpool.

Fulham’s second-half performance under Marco Silva last season, in which Williams scored twice and assisted two goals, could prove to be a shrewd move by the newly-promoted Premier League club.
