Odell Beckham Jr

After Thursday night’s rout of the Los Angeles Rams, Von Miller used the opportunity to make his final recruiting pitch to Odell Beckham Jr. While wearing Rams colors and the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Beckham may have been sending a message to the organization that he intends to re-sign with them before their lopsided victory.

Miller remembered the social media joke Beckham posted about the NFL Kickoff Game winner, and he hoped Beckham’s actions would back up his words.

In light of Thursday’s victory, Miller remarked, “I mean he said whoever won this game, that’s where he was going to go.” Whenever he gets healthy, I’m sure there will be a lot of teams seeking him. He was a big part of our success last year (in Los Angeles), so we’ll just have to see.

I suppose we’ll just have to see what happens. I feel like we exhausted every option for capturing him. Until he feels better physically, we cannot proceed. The team over here is fantastic. I have a feeling Josh (Allen) would appreciate a new firearm. That’s merely another option for passing the ball to.

We’ll see what happens when he’s finally satisfied, but for now, we’ve got a wonderful set of players and a great squad and we just need to keep going. With a grin on his face, Bills quarterback Josh Allen said, “GM Von.” Consider that a subliminal pitch from Allen.

Miller has been persistent in trying to sign Beckham to the Bills this summer, and general manager Brandon Beane recently made an effort to woo him as a free agent. The fact that Beckham tweeted about the victory certainly didn’t hurt.

The Rams have also made their case to Beckham this summer, with head coach Sean McVay publicly pleading with Beckham and the team to keep his locker and nameplate unlocked in anticipation of his return.

Beckham’s 2021 season turned around after he signed with the Rams following an acrimonious breakup with the Cleveland Browns. In eight games, he caught 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns. In four postseason games, he caught 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rams are betting on familiarity, while the Bills are holding Beckham to his remarks from earlier in the week.
