Erling Haaland Transfer

Pep Guardiola remarked of Manchester City’s new striker, Erling Haaland, that he “was born to score goals” after Haaland scored both goals in City’s 2-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League opener.

City won the match at the London Stadium thanks to two goals from Haaland. Although the former Borussia Dortmund star was disappointed not to score a hat trick, Guardiola could not have been more pleased with his performance.

“He’s been with City for five years,” the manager there remarked. I’m hoping he’ll stick around for the duration of this contract and beyond. We hope the new men enjoy their time here and gel well with the rest of the group. And put even more pressure on him.

“He’s a guy with tremendous potential and he puts up good numbers, but he could use some improvement in one area of his game. Obviously, a goal scorer is crucial, but he’s so much more than that, which is why we’re willing to do all it takes to help him improve as a player. In other words, “he was destined to be a goal scorer.”

Erling Haaland Transfer

In a snarky response to criticism of 22-year-old Haaland after City’s loss to Liverpool in the Community Shield, Guardiola did not apologize for pulling him out in the second half. As recently as last week, he was unable to adjust to life in the Premier League. “He can now include Titi [Thierry] Henry, Alan Shearer, and Cristiano Ronaldo among his peers.”

Haaland’s confidence was on full display as he gained and converted City’s opening penalty. I know how he dealt with a lot of criticism this week, and he was incredibly calm and trained really well, Guardiola remarked.

I appreciated the way he took control of the ball before stepping up to take the penalty. He doesn’t waste time and will punch a teammate in the face if he thinks they’re about to steal his ball. This I can say with a high degree of certainty: Haaland apologized to Ilkay Gündogan for not converting a cross and vowed to keep getting better.

“It was a good beginning,” he added. There isn’t much more to report than that, and the final score was 2-0. It was helpful to get game time under our belts at the start of the season, but we can’t let up now.

It’s all about making those mental and physical connections in practice every day to improve and eventually achieve our goals. Additionally, it has been nearly 30 minutes since my last goal, so I must press on.

Haaland’s performance won plaudits from David Moyes. We’ve all been keeping an eye on him,” the West Ham manager added. It’s easy to see that he’ll become a great player. The runs he made were similar to those he made against Liverpool.

Moyes acknowledged that City had outplayed his team. They were excellent. Today, I felt like they totally outplayed us tactically. They changed their style of play from the conclusion of last season when both fullbacks were stationed in the middle of the field like midfielders.
