Phillip Lindsay

American football running back Phillip Lindsay was born on July 24, 1994, and is now a free agent. Colorado native and Aurora, Colorado native Lindsay attended Denver’s South High School, where he rushed for 4,587 yards in his career and became the school’s all-time rushing leader.

Many of the NFL’s most valuable players got their start after being cut, waived, or released by another team. After being undrafted in 2015 and being released by six different clubs, Raheem Mostert has found a home as the starting running back for the San Francisco 49ers.

He and Chase Edmonds are now sharing a backfield in Miami. For the 2018 season, the Broncos cut Isaiah McKenzie in the middle of the year. As 2022 begins, he will be the primary slot receiver for the Bills.

Today is the deadline for teams to trim their rosters down to 53 players, and I’m keeping tabs on the cut players who might make the best additions to other teams. These 53-man rosters are far from official, so I’ll be updating this as news comes in on Tuesday.

You’ll find a list of those players below, along with details like the team that waived them, the round in which they were drafted (if applicable), and a link to their Mockdraftable spider chart, which details their performance at the combine or pro day when they were prospects.
