Reece James Contract

A right-back for Premier League club Chelsea and England’s national team, Reece James was born on December 8, 1999, in London.

In his first season as a professional, James captained the under-18s to the FA Youth Cup final and was named the season’s best academy player. After a successful loan with Championship side Wigan Athletic, he was promoted to Chelsea’s first team in 2019, where he established himself as a regular right-back and earned a long-term contract extension in January 2020. He returned to Chelsea in 2019.

James made his international debut in October 2020 against Wales after previously representing England at various youth levels.

Reece James Contract

In the last year or so, Reece James has emerged as one of the world’s most influential right-backs.

The new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly faces the challenge of trying to resolve the contract issue with the England international, who has three years left on his existing deal.

According to the Daily Mail, James currently earns £70k per week, which doesn’t reflect his position as a first-team player for the team. There has been no attempt by the Blues to extend his contract, which could lead to a rift.

They had not done anything to honor their player number 24 before Roman Abramovich sanctioned his transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

James was given his debut by Frank Lampard in September 2019 and has since made 122 appearances, scoring nine goals.

Career

Under-18 through under-21, James has represented England. When the 2017 Toulon Tournament took place in May, James was part of the under-20 team. He took the field in the championship match as England defeated Ivory Coast. James was a member of the European Under-19 Championship-winning team in July 2017. First-half starter against the Czech Republic in the semi-final.

Ankle ligament damage forced James to be carried off the field on a stretcher during the first half of his team’s final group game loss to Chile on June 7, 2019. As of the 4th of October, 2019, James was a member of the United States under-21 national team. On November 15, 2019, he made his under-21 debut in the 3–0 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification victory away to Albania.

James was called up to the England senior team for the first time on October 5, 2020, when Raheem Sterling went down with an injury. On the 8th of October, he made his Wembley Stadium debut, replacing Kieran Trippier in the 58th minute of England’s 3–0 victory over Wales. After the final whistle, he was sent off for dissent against Denmark. James was selected for the 26-man England squad for the Euro 2020 championships in France and Spain.

This is the best form of his career and I hope to be England’s first-choice right-back in November 2021, he said.

His Premier League debut came on September 14, 2020, against Brighton & Hove Albion in a 3–1 Chelsea victory. In Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Leeds United on December 5, James made his 50th appearance for the club in all competitions.

An internet troll racially abused James in January of that year. He deleted his Instagram account in March of 2021 as a response to the abuse he had been subjected to. In the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final in Porto, Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1–0 on May 29, giving James his first Champions League title.
