Rhea Ripley Returns

First, Rey Mysterio gave a speech, then he and his son Dominik defeated The Judgment Day, without Ripley, in a tag team match on Monday Night Raw this week to mark his 20th year in WWE. With no bell ringing, Finn Balor and Damian Priest were awarded a double 6-1-9 for Rey and Eddie Guerrero’s Eddie Guerrero fake chair shot finish in the third round.

Mysterio gathered with his family backstage and continued the celebration, getting a gift from his daughter before the camera switched to see the return of Ripley. This is fantastic news, considering that we first saw her wearing a cardiac monitor just a few months ago.

During the second attack of The Judgment Day, she was ready to release a trap. The Raw results and coverage of this week’s program can be found right here. It was revealed that Ripley and her Judgment Day teammates.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest interrupted a backstage celebration of Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary in WWE by pushing his daughter Aaliyah away, then stomping on him after Balor and Priest had jumped him.

To make matters worse, Priest and Balor had previously been defeated in a tag team bout by Rey and Dominik. An additional no-disqualification bout pitting Rey and Dominik vs Balor and Priest was added to the schedule following the attack on WWE employees backstage.

Ripley was supposed to face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank in June, however, she was substituted in the match by Carmella due to her injuries.

A rematch between Ripley and Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship was slated for WrestleMania Backlash on the 3 May episode of the WWE Network programming. A triple threat match was introduced to the championship bout by Sonya Deville, a WWE official.

At the event, Ripley successfully defended her championship by pinning Asuka. Ripley and Flair were slated for a Hell in a Cell match, which Flair won by disqualification, retaining her title. Ripley’s 98-day reign came to an end at Money in the Bank when she was defeated in a rematch by Charlotte Flair.

At SummerSlam, Ripley was unable to reclaim the Raw Women’s title after losing to champion Nikki A.S.H. and Flair in a triple threat match. Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. formed a tag team in the weeks that followed.
