The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ situation isn’t looking good at all. Tom Brady and company dropped their third straight game on Thursday night, this time losing 27-22 to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bucs are now worried the worst for Pro Bowl outside linebacker Shaq Barrett after the 29-year-old was forced to leave the TNF game due to a foot injury, adding salt to their already-open wound. Initial reports indicate that Barrett might only have had an Achilles tear. This information was provided by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport:
#Bucs star pass-rusher Shaq Barrett is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles based on the initial exam, source said. Coach Todd Bowles said it doesn t look good and he ll have an MRI tomorrow.
That is very awful. The two-time Super Bowl champion’s injury might terminate his season if additional testing reveals that Barrett tore his Achilles. The Buccaneers, who lost to the Ravens on Thursday and are now 3-5, could not have received this at a worse time.

Barrett’s career may be destroyed by this terrible injury, which is unfortunate. He is hardly a youngster, and Achilles injuries are among the most difficult problems a player can encounter.
The Buccaneers’ situation will only worsen going forward, as they will be facing the reigning champion Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. Given what we have seen from them thus far, it would not be unexpected if they lost to LA, especially without Barrett in the lineup.
