Louis Domingue has agreed to a two-year agreement with the New York Rangers, so he must truly enjoy the spicy pork and broccoli in his new hometown.
In all likelihood, he will serve as the Rangers’ third goalkeeper on the depth chart and play largely for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. While playing with the WB-Scranton Penguins this season, Domingue recorded 2.41 goals against average while recording.924 save percentage.
His NHL appearances were limited to two regular season games for the Penguins with 2.02 goals against average and.952 save percentage, as well as six playoff games against the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with a 3.65 GAA and.898, save percentage.

In a deal worth $1.55 million over the course of two years, the Rangers signed Domingue.
For the New York Rangers, Domingue is certain to start training camp as the team’s No. 3 goaltender, but it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that he will beat out Jaroslav Halak for the backup position. It’s unlikely that Domingue will see enough NHL time to warrant drafting him in most fantasy leagues, with the possible exception of a tandem with Shesterkin.
