When you have 3,547 draught picks over the next five years, you have to make some difficult personnel decisions. Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, and Jalen Willaims are the three players Oklahoma selected in the lottery. When the Thunder needed to make room on their roster, they turned to Isaiah Roby, who was the unhappy recipient.
On the season, Roby had a double-double of 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, and he nailed 44.4 percent of his three-point attempts despite not taking many. As part of the Thunder’s player development plan, Roby often had a front-row seat to see the Thunder’s younger players.
If you’re looking to add depth to your bench, Roby, 24, is a good waiver claim candidate or a solid addition in general. In addition, he is still eligible to play both forward and back. In the end, Roby will land somewhere. Not only that, but he won’t be the final painful roster cut in Oklahoma City for the foreseeable future.
During this weekend’s Arnold Palmer Cup at the Golf Club de Geneve in Vandoeuvres, Switzerland, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen of Oklahoma State was a major contributor to the International team’s 33-27 triumph over the United States.

Neergaard-Petersen went 3-1 in the tournament, becoming OSU’s 23rd representative overall. Following his mixed fourball loss to Johnny Keefer and Olivia Mitchell while teamed with Chiara Tamburlini, 2–1, the Niv, Denmark native did not trail again over the rest of the tournament. The final 39 holes of Neergaard-final Petersen’s three matches would be won by him.
Los Angeles Dodgers’ first baseman Mookie Betts has been activated from the 15-day disabled list ahead of Sunday’s game against the San Diego Padres.
An outfield collision between Betts and Cody Bellinger on a fly ball put him in the hospital on June 15 against the Los Angeles Angels. Betts was out for the rest of the game. Betts was able to finish the game, but he was not in the starting lineup for the following two contests after an MRI confirmed the fractured rib.
Left-handed pitcher David Price, who had been sidelined for three games due to an illness, was also reinstated by the Dodgers. Ian Gibaut was designated for assignment and Eddy Alvarez was sent down to Triple-A Oklahoma City in order to make place for Betts and Price in Los Angeles’ starting rotation.
