Thiago Silva, a Chelsea defender who had been linked with a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team, has encouraged former teammate and national team colleague Neymar to join him at Stamford Bridge.
A move away from Paris St. Germain (PSG) in the next few months is expected to end Neymar’s five-year stay in the French capital, and former manager Thomas Tuchel has been connected with a reunion with the attacker.
The 30-year-old is a familiar face to Thiago Silva, who has played with him on 138 occasions for PSG, Brazil, and the Olympic team.
When asked about the possibility of Neymar joining him at Chelsea, a veteran Chelsea defender in Recife, Brazil, encouraged his former teammate to join him in the Premier League.
Silva told JC that “he had to go to Chelsea” (as published by Sport Witness ). “It’s all for the best if it does happen. Comments aren’t necessary. Nothing has been revealed to me yet, but I’m crossing my fingers that it does.
A number of new forwards are expected to join Chelsea this summer, including Neymar, who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge by Tuchel.

Chelsea has yet to sign a player since the purchase of the club from Roman Abramovich by Todd Boehly, but they have been linked with a move for Brighton and Hove Albion’s teenage left-back Zak Sturge, who has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United.
