Thunder Rosa Injury

Thunder Rosa said in a backstage interview with Tony Schiavone that she has been injured and would not be able to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Although the specifics of Rosa’s ailment were never disclosed, she had allegedly been working through pain for months. Toni Storm, Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida will compete in a four-way battle at AEW All Out to determine who will be crowned the interim AEW World Champion.

There is currently no estimated return date for Rosa, but we hope she makes a full recovery soon.

Another interim champion will be crowned in AEW, following in the footsteps of Jon Moxley, who held the title while CM Punk was away. While many of these four ladies might walk away with the title, the safe bet is on Toni Storm.

If you want to avoid the original match for All Out, which saw Rosa defending against Storm in a one-on-one encounter, then crowning Storm champion is the quickest and most convenient option. Recently, they’ve been working together as a tag team known as “Thunder Storm.”

There is currently no estimated comeback date for Thunder Rosa because the severity of her injury remains unknown. We hope to see Rosa back in action very soon and wish her a fast recovery.
