Denny Hamlin, a co-owner of 23XI Racing, said Tuesday that Tyler Reddick will join in 2024. According to the organization, the contract will last for several years. The 26-year-old Reddick is referred to as a “franchise driver” by Hamlin.”It’s simple to identify talent when you have to go against it,” Hamlin remarked.
Richard Childress Racing has taken up the option on Reddick’s contract for the 2023 season, therefore Reddick will not join 23XI Racing until the 2024 season. Richard Childress Racing’s third and final Cup season with Reddick will be next year.
We’re proud of Tyler Reddick’s performance with Richard Childress Racing, and we’re not happy about the timing of this announcement,” RCR wrote on social media. Despite the unfortunate timing of this announcement, we are focused on capturing a title in 2022 and 2023.”
Following the RCR statement, Reddick said: “It’s always difficult when our partnership is about to come to an end. As long as we have time to think about what’s next, I believe it’s a good thing.
Doing it now rather than waiting till the playoffs is better for me.” There’s no need to postpone the inevitable. Our foresight allows us to anticipate the future. We’ve all got a better idea of where we’re going and what has to be done.”
When Clint Bowyer signed for Stewart-Haas Racing in 2015, it was the first time a driver had signed for another team more than a year in advance of joining the organization. Michael Waltrip Racing, where Bowyer was driving at the time, had announced that the company would be closing at the end of the season. In 2016, Bowyer left HScott Motorsports and joined SHR.
23XI Racing driver Reddick, who won his first NASCAR Cup race earlier this month at Road America, is looking forward to the future.
As Reddick put it, “I’m tremendously enthusiastic about this possibility that will come ahead in 2024.” From the very beginning, the team has been moving in the right direction.” I’m really ecstatic to see it in the world. Thrilled that I’m able to announce this and know what 23XI has in store for me.”
23XI Racing president Steve Lauletta stated the car Reddick will race in 2024 is still up in the air. According to Hamlin, Reddick will be sponsored. In the years running up to 2024, the team will have to decide whether or not it will run with two cars or go up to three. However, Hamlin stated on Tuesday that he didn’t “anticipate” having three cars by the year 2024.

All Hamlin could say was, “We wanted him.” It was important to us that Tyler got the chance to join this race team, so we did everything we could to make it happen.
In the words of Toyota Racing Development president David Wilson, “We are thrilled to have Tyler in our future.”

Reddick has won two Xfinity titles. In 2018, he won the championship with JR Motorsports, and in 2019, he won it with RCR. Having won this year, Reddick has a good chance to return to the Stanley Cup playoffs for the second time in a row with a victory. That time last year, he was out in the first round and had an unimpressive score total of 13.
Bubba Wallace and Kurt Busch are the drivers for 23XI Racing. Lauletta replied, “No changes on our side for ’23. We’ll see what happens.” Our primary focus is on “24 and how we can best utilize the resources of the organization as a whole.”
