Taylor Ultimately Returned and Started, Only To Be Replaced by Mills in The Second Half.

In the Offseason, Taylor Made a Deal to Join the Giants. There Were Those Who Gave Taylor a Shot at The Starting Job if He Did Well in Training Camp and The Preseason. Those Rumors May Now Rest, Thanks to Jones’s Impressive Performance in The Preseason, Though Taylor May Still Get Starts if Jones Struggles During the Regular Season.

Taylor Has Agreed to A One-Year Deal with The Houston Texans. David Culley, Who Coached Taylor as The quarterback’s Coach for The Buffalo Bills in 2017, Is Now the Head Coach for The Houston Texans, Bringing the Two Together. Because of Legal Difficulties with Starting Quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Head Coach David Culley Revealed on September 6, 2021, that Taylor Will Be the Starting Quarterback for Week 1. After Completing 21 Of 33 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns, and adding 41 yards on the ground, Taylor led the Texans to a 37-21 shock victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in his first career start.

After suffering a hamstring injury in the first half of week 2’s game against the Cleveland Browns, Taylor was replaced by rookie quarterback Davis Mills for the rest of the contest. On September 21st, he was transferred to the hospital’s injured reserve. On November 6th, he was given the green light to begin serving. Taylor was replaced by Mills in the third quarter of the team’s game against the Indianapolis Colts in week 13.

Taylor went on to complete 5 of 13 passes for 45 yards and an interception. It was Houston’s second shutout loss of the season, and the final score was 31-0. After announcing that Mills would be the starter for the remainder of the season on December 10, Culley has stuck with his decision.
