Tyson Fury

In his letter to Deontay Wilder on the occasion of their epic trilogy fight, Tyson Fury was unexpectedly polite. It has been precisely one year since Fury and Wilder’s thrilling third bout, in which ‘The Gypsy King’ twice got up from the canvas in the fourth round to win by knockout in the twelfth. Fury approached Wilder to offer respect just after the battle when both fighters were still in the ring.

However, Wilder seemed uninterested and was heard stating, “No love.” Then the American powerhouse added, “I won’t respect you, I won’t respect you. You will never have my respect.

All of this is a result of Wilder’s continued conviction that Fury falsified the results of their second match by tampering with his gloves.

In light of this, Fury kept it professional as he posted on his Instagram story a year after their trilogy bout, writing: “Hi people, it’s my anniversary of knocking Wilder out for the third time.

“We participated in one of the greatest heavyweight trilogy fights in boxing history one year ago today. “Despite losing three times, Wilder was still a worthy opponent.

What he could never do to me, and the reason he lost three times, is that what goes around comes around. He fights the next week. I wish him luck and send him positive energy.

It appears that “The Gypsy King” is not ruling out yet another bout with Wilder, despite the fact that the two have previously faced off three times, with Fury winning two and one finishing in a draw. Don’t rule out the fourth match between me and Deontay Wilder, Fury pleaded with SecondsOut.

“I have no issue. We’ll fight Wilder one more if he turns mandatory once more and I don’t land this other fight with [Oleksandr Usyk].

Who wouldn’t want to rewatch that?
