Zaha Injury

Crystal Palace, led by Patrick Viera, will visit Manchester City tomorrow afternoon at the Etihad, although early reports suggest they may be without star forward Wilfried Zaha.

According to The Athletic, the Ivorian will not be able to play in tomorrow’s Premier League match due to an ailment “Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha will not be able to play against Manchester City since he is still recovering from an injury.

According to reports, the 29-year-old hurt his leg during the 3-1 win over Aston Villa, but he played through the pain to secure the victory. He was not named in the traveling team for the 2-0 win against Oxford United in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup third-round fixture.”

Wilfried Zaha has scored against Manchester City before, most recently in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 triumph at the Etihad Stadium last season.

Zaha Injury

Zaha’s goal was the game-winner in a narrow 1-0 victory over Southampton. He scored twice in a 3-1 road triumph over his previous team Manchester United on September 19. When Crystal Palace played West Bromwich Albion on March 13, 2021, Zaha made history by not kneeling before the game.

The Eagles went on to win, 1-0. Zaha made a remark at the Financial Times Business of Football event in February saying that “As a society, I feel we should be supporting greater education in schools, and social media companies should be taking tougher action against those who abuse others online – not just footballers”.

On May 16 vs. Aston Villa, Zaha scored his 11th league goal of the season, breaking his previous Premier League season record by two goals. As a result of his strong performance throughout his first full season, England’s under-19 team invited him to play in a match against Germany in February 2011.

He was called up to the under-21 team on 23 February 2012. He made his debut in a 4–0 triumph against Belgium on 29 February, assisting Henri Lansbury for the third goal. On 11 November 2012, Zaha was called up to the senior team by manager Roy Hodgson for a friendly match against Sweden on 14 November. It was the 83rd minute when he entered the game as a substitute for fellow rookie Raheem Sterling.

Hodgson expressed regret that he did not play the winger in a competitive game before the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while Zaha was performing well for Crystal Palace under his management.
