1. Double up your bar tape

Wrapping two spools of tape around your handlebars to absorb road noise will make your ride a whole lot more comfortable for your hands.

Wrapping an old inner tube around your bars under your present tape is a less expensive, but no less effective, option.

Remove the inner tube and cut it to the desired length before applying.

2. Sleep on an empty(ish) stomach

If you eat dinner at 8 p.m., you’ll be burning fat by 1 a.m., according to this theory. Your body will be able to manufacture the hormones it requires for healthier sleep if carbs aren’t present in your bloodstream.

7. Always have some duct tape with you
