James Rodriguez Transfer

Born on July 12, 1991, James David Rodrguez Rubio is a professional footballer for Al-Rayyan of the Qatar Stars League and the Colombia national team. Many saw him as the natural heir to fellow countryman Carlos Valderrama because of his superior technique, vision, and playmaking abilities.

After beginning his professional career with Envigado, James moved to Banfield of Argentina, where he spent three years becoming a household name in Europe by winning multiple medals and individual honors. James, who played for AS Monaco, was transferred to Real Madrid for £63 million in 2014, breaking Radamel Falcao’s record for the most expensive Colombian football player.

Author: James Rodriguez James Rodriguez, a former Real Madrid teammate of Marcelo’s, will soon be reuniting with his old friend at Olympiacos on a loan The Colombian superstar hoped to spend the upcoming season on loan with both Galatasaray and Valencia.

The 31-year-old is currently playing for Al-Rayyan, a Qatari club he joined for free from Everton in 2021. The Colombian midfielder was a multiple-time Champions League champion with Real Madrid and a multiple-time Bundesliga champion with Bayern Munich.

The Colombian midfielder shot to fame in 2014 because of his team’s impressive run to the World Cup quarterfinals. His best year was when he scored the most goals in a single World Cup and was awarded the Golden Boot. That brilliant showing also landed him the greatest transfer of his career to Real Madrid.

During the summer transfer period, James was available to join a new team. For a while, there were rumors that he might be joining a Greek club. The likelihood of the Greek team signing such a star player before the month of August ended was low.

However, according to Gazzetta, Olympiacos is in the final stages of negotiations with Rodriguez and Al Rayyan. The Greek team is making an effort to re-sign the player to European football.

The transfer window in Greece closes on Thursday, September 15th, thus the Superleague heavyweights need to wrap up this transaction quickly.

Since rumors from Qatar suggested “final discussions and procedural issues with Olympiacos,” the agreement has thrown other Greek clubs into disarray. Top transfer guru Fabrizio Ramano claims that Rodriguez is currently in the United Kingdom for a medical examination before his loan move.

The Colombian forward wanted to play European football again this season. El Chiringuito published an interview in which he discussed his connection to Valencia, saying, “If Valencia beckons me, I will even walk from Qatar.” Personally, I’m willing to take a pay cut. Edinson Cavani can count on me to be there if he needs help. They have a fantastic fan base and a fantastic club.

The 31-year-old was hoping to leave Qatari club Al-Rayyan, where his contract runs through 2024. The stumbling block for most European clubs this summer was his annual salary of £5.2 million.

It has been reported that Olympiacos will pay the Colombian a salary of £1.7 million per year, while Al-Rayyan will be responsible for the rest of £3.5 million.

Olympiacos had a busy transfer window, and they landed Marcelo, the player with the most career awards at Real Madrid. And on a free transfer, they brought in defender Sime Vrasljko from Atletico Madrid. Gaining such a star player will be a major coup for Olympiacos. It’s likely that later today, we’ll hear the formal announcement.
