Halloween Havoc is being brought back by WWE as a real “Premium Live Event” for NXT after weeks of anticipation. They’ve secured an 8 p.m. Saturday start time for the show on Peacock as opposed to two hours on a Wednesday with customary commercial breaks, hired Shotzi to travel to Orlando as a special host for the event, and put together a card with a few intriguing matches and the potential for even more depending on how things turn out.
Will Shawn Michaels be able to obtain the products for the white and gold company? Will he succeed in turning Halloween Havoc into NXT’s SummerSlam? Will the show fall short of the standard set by Worlds Collideback in September, or vice versa? Without a doubt, there is a great deal at stake on the show, therefore it serves NXT’s best interests to provide a stellar card that will be remembered for the next year.

6 bold predictions ahead of WWE NXT’s Halloween Havoc.
6. Apollo Crews and Grayson Waller’s matchup includes a weak condition.
The tenure of Apollo Crews in NXT has been intriguing. There have been highs and lows, but here we are at Halloween Havoc, where he is ready to wrestle Grayson Waller, who is infamous for failing to defeat LA Knight. The match has a spin-the-wheel stipulation. Is there a probability that this match will earn a five-star rating?
Unpopular pick: The two deliver a mid-level match with a stupid stipulation that is much less memorable than Crews’ Nigerian Drum Fight from WWE WrestleMania 37… Unless it’s a match between Child’s Play and/or Chucky, which would be intriguing.

5. Julius Creed is dismissed from NXT by Damon Kemp
The Creed Brothers must depart NXT, in our opinion. Although Julius and Brutus are fantastic actors, their act has grown fairly old, and Roderick Strong can only take so much stress from the promotion before quitting his job. Giving The Creeds the Legado de Fantasma treatment on the way out the door is a good idea in front of a future major roster debut, even though pushing Damon Kemp as a solo artist would be strange.

4. Before a SmackDown run, Roxanne Perez kills Cora Jade.
At least in a Kayfabe sense, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade don’t get along. They started fighting after they won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, and they even chose each other’s poison by competing against Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez before the show. Perez should come out on top even if that’s not how a wrestler typically transitions from one brand to another, if this is the conclusion of the feud—which, given Perez’s incredible performance against Bayley on SmackDown, it very well may be.

3. Carmelo Hayes is denied a hat trick
If he wins the vacant strap at the conclusion of a five-way strap match, Carmelo Hayes will have the opportunity to win the North American Championship three times at Halloween Havoc. Despite the tough competition—Oro Mensah, Wes Lee, Nathan Frazer, and the always-feisty Von Wagner—Hayes must be viewed as the match’s favourite because he is a skilled high flyer and still holds the champion’s edge.
Giving Hayes a third title reign seems counterproductive to the development of his storyline, especially in light of Shawn Michaels’ comments on the subject during his media call. Send Hayes to the main roster and award the championship to someone else; extra points if Wagner triumphs.

Wade Barrett returns to call the Mandy Rose vs. Alba Fyre match.
Wade Barrett’s addition to the SmackDown commentary crew has been a huge success, nearly making fans forget about Pat McAffee, who has been crushing it on College GameDay on ESPN. Few of Michael Cole’s recent partners have been able to match his reference game, colour commentary, or in-ring perspective. He’s hit the reference game out of the park.
Barrett’s promotion has one drawback, though: he can no longer call Mandy Rose matches and rave about his favourite WWE Superstar. Barrett will be brought back as a guest commentator if WWE wants to give the public — and Barrett — what they want.

1. Bron Breakker accompanies his dad into the Halloween Havocwinners circle
In NXT, Bron Breakker has accomplished pretty about everything a top guy can. He has repeatedly won the top championship, has briefly competed on the main roster, and even found a mentor for life in Tomasso Ciampa, even though he no longer uses that moniker as a part of the RAW roster. However, Breakker still hasn’t managed to win at Halloween Havoc after losing his first and only match there to Ciampa in 2021.
Breakker joins his father and uncle in the Halloween Havoc winner’s circle on October 22nd, breaking a long skid.
The Steiners had great success at Halloween Havoc during their stint in the WCW, with Breakker’s father posting a 5-1 record and his uncle, despite being far less successful, still managing two victories against four defeats, including two losses to his brother Rick. Breakker joins that group at Halloween Havoc 2022.
