On Thursday, the Chicago Bulls made a statement by defeating the Miami Heat, 116-108, and they did it without Zach LaVine in the starting lineup. The Bulls have just received some fantastic news regarding Zach LaVine’s injury, and they are now scheduled to play another Eastern Conference contender in the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
Joe Cowley, a Bulls reporter, reports that the two-time All-Star will start against the Cavaliers:
Zach LaVine will be available tomorrow, according to Billy Donovan.
That’s clearly a very positive development for the Bulls, who will now be able to prepare for what could be a challenging game against Cleveland with the return of their best player. But as of right now, it’s still unknown if LaVine will face any restrictions when he plays on Saturday for the first time this year. However, his “left knee management” official diagnosis for their season opener against the Heat suggests he’s not dealing with a serious injury at the moment.
Regardless, it is obvious that LaVine’s wellbeing will be crucial to Chicago’s success this season. The 27-year-old isn’t exactly the most durable player on the field, and he’s missed plenty of time because of different injuries. LaVine has never played more than 67 games in a season in his five seasons with the Bulls. Chicago will be looking for him to have a healthy 2022–2023 season as it seeks to become a legitimate contender in the East.
