After defeating one of the odds-on favourites to win the national championship, Alabama, Tennessee football is still on a high after their shocking triumph. Sadly, the Vols will once again be without their top pass-catcher Cedric Tillman as they prepare for their Saturday game against UT-Martin.
But it seems like he’ll be back soon and might play versus Kentucky the following weekend.

According to sources, Tennessee will be missing veteran S Jaylen McCollough and top WR Cedric Tillman versus UT Martin today. Tillman upped his practise time and is improving; he is anticipated to build up the following week with the hope of playing versus Kentucky.
Tillman injured his ankle in the first week of September, and on September 20th, he underwent surgery. He had some restrictions during practise, but he has been increasing his activities.
Tillman, a redshirt senior, is one of Hendon Hooker’s go-to wide receivers. In 2022, he has already hauled in 17 passes for 246 yards, and in 2011, he had 12 touchdown receptions, which is the second-most in a single season in programme history.
But in Cedric Tillman’s absence, Jalin Hyatt has been stepping up a lot. Against Alabama, the WR completely destroyed Nick Saban’s secondary with six catches for 207 yards and a mind-boggling five touchdowns.
The relationship between Hooker, Hyatt, and Tillman will be exceedingly lethal once Tillman makes a comeback. There’s no telling what this excellent Tennessee team could accomplish. The sky is the limit after taking down a dependable powerhouse.
There is good news despite Cedric Tillman’s absence from the UT Martin game, which first featured on ClutchPoints.
