As he was leaving the field after the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, Adams pushed a cameraman to the ground (video here). He expressed regret at his locker and on social media, but the photographer went to the stadium police to report the incident.
This week, the Raiders are off because of a bye, which gives the NFL additional time to decide whether to punish Adams. A fine and possible suspension are almost certain for the wide receiver. A Kansas City amusement park has also taken action against him.
29-year-old Adams was acquired by the Raiders in a big offseason trade with the Green Bay Packers. In the defeat against Kansas City, he had three receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Adams has scored five touchdowns and amassed 414 yards this season.
Davante Adams was officially charged following the cameraman incident, according to Larry Brown Sports.
