According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Elijah Moore returned to the New York Jets’ practise facility on Friday, a day after being excused for a personal day. On Thursday, the displeased wide receiver allegedly asked for a move as well.
Moore is dissatisfied with his reduced contribution to the Jets’ offence. In a 27-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers last week, he did not receive a single throwing target. After the game, he vented his frustrations on Twitter.
The second-year athlete promised practise on Thursday and sent out two cryptic tweets after coach Robert Saleh attempted to diffuse the situation on Monday by complimenting Moore as a competitor.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network Insider later revealed that Moore had requested a trade. The request’s timing is at best questionable. The Jets are 4-2 overall, having won three straight games, and have had their biggest win in years.
Rapaport said on Friday that the Jets had absolutely no intention of trading him.

In addition to announcing Moore won’t play this Sunday against the Denver Broncos, Saleh said as much on Friday.
It is not possible to trade for him.
Elijah Moore, a second-round pick in 2021, has only seen eight targets in the last three games since quarterback Zach Wilson made a full recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery, out of 29 this season. In 11 games as a rookie, Moore had 77 targets and grabbed 43 receptions, but this season he has only 16 catches and no touchdowns.
Simply put, the Jets’ offensive arsenal has grown. Along with veteran tight ends Tyler Conklin and C.J. Uzomah, they also added rookie running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Additionally, they kept hold of players with talent like Braxton Berrios, Michael Carter, and Corey Davis. The Jets have more options with more playmakers. Moore has also felt excluded as a result.
