Star running back Christian McCaffrey has held his first press conference for his new team after the blockbuster trade that brought him to the San Francisco 49ers.
Throughout the press briefing. McCaffrey expressed his excitement about joining the 49ers.
McCaffrey quoted 49ers beat reporter Jake Hutchinson as saying:

Just entering the locker room and seeing the boys is what I’m most looking forward to. But how could you resist using this as an offensive tool? I’m quite excited, and I obviously have some experience with coach Shanahan. The joy I feel in being here just cannot be expressed.
Christian McCaffrey continued by describing precisely when he learned about his line of work.

“I got the news five seconds before you guys, and I was over the moon.”
Expectations for this team’s offence will be quite high now that McCaffrey has joined the 49ers.
The 49ers have played six games and are currently 3-3 under quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Critical injuries on both sides of the ball have severely hurt their season. Trey Lance, a second-year quarterback and the team’s starting quarterback, broke his ankle and was out for the season.
McCaffrey is in the midst of another another successful season. He has accumulated 670 yards from scrimmage through the first six games on 118 total touches. Both the air and the ground have carried his sage. He has gained 393 yards in the air and an additional 277 yards with 33 receptions. McCaffrey has also made three trips into the end zone.
The 49ers will have huge ambitions for McCaffrey under head coach Kyle Shanahan’s direction. They could even be able to raise the bar for his game from where it is now.
