The Florida rapper, 25, criticised the prizes in a string of tweets on his profile after the ceremony.

Kodak Black slams BET after Latto’s win
After rapper Latto won song of the year with her smash hit Big Energy, Kodak Black criticised the BET Awards.
After peaking at number three in April of this year, Big Energy is Latto’s highest-charting single on the US Billboard Hot 100.
However, Kodak Black made it plain that he disagreed with BET’s choice as he tweeted: “Everyone needs to boycott Connie Orlando [BET’s SVP of Music, News, and Specials] and BET. You’re all ** pathetic, and you’re not actually for the people. diluted by BET!
The Florida rapper stated that he is all in favour of “women empowerment” in a previous tweet. He believes GloRilla should have received the honour instead.
Super Gremlin, another song from Kodak Black’s album Back for Everything, was nominated for song of the year.
Latto celebrates win on Instagram
With a series of posts on her Instagram account, Latto went all out to mark her significant professional achievement.
On Instagram, the rapper wrote, “Thank you @bet for always providing me my flowers JACKPOTS & LAMBS STAND TF UP!!!
“Thank you Mimi,” she continued. I cherish you, 4L! [On the way] are new hits. I can assure you that this is just the beginning.
Upon learning of Latto’s victory, Mariah Carey tweeted, “Cheers dahhhling!!! All the flowers and more are yours to receive!
Mariah’s 1995 smash Fantasy features a sample from Tom Tom Club’s 1981 single Genius Of Love in the remix Big Energy.
