Kyler Murray, the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, is a huge “Call of Duty” lover. Since he has streamed the game on Twitch, it is not a secret. Although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, some NFL supporters believe Murray’s commitment to football may be hampered by his COD fixation.
Enter former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman, who made a humorous remark immediately before the Kyler Murray-led Cardinals-New Orleans Saints game on Thursday Night Football.
Prior to the competition, Sherman made the obvious allusion to Kyler Murray’s love of Call of Duty: “I bet he knows when a new map drops” (h/t Ari Meirov). It’s also a timely viewpoint. Considering that “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” will be available on Friday.
Here is what the pregame audio for the Cardinals-Saints game sounded like.

Kyler Murray must demonstrate his ability to perform for the Cardinals regardless of how enthusiastic he is about playing Call of Duty. The Cardinals’ 2-4 record going into their game against the Saints is evidence that Murray has not been reliable this year. Going into Week 7, Arizona has lost its last two games, including the tremendously upsetting 19-9 loss on the road against Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.
Prior to the 2022 NFL season, the Cardinals’ offence wasn’t anticipated to perform as well as it has. Through six weeks of football, they scored just 19.0 points per game on average, but Kyler Murray at quarterback may be close to changing that, especially with DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension.
Richard Sherman humorously made fun of Kyler Murray with a “Call of Duty” joke, which first featured on ClutchPoints.
