Injuries have recently wreaked havoc on the Detroit Lions offence, which is a major factor in why they’re currently 1-4 on the year. However, it appears the Lions could get a few important components back before a crucial meeting with the Dallas Cowboys this weekend.
elite wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown is not mentioned on the injury report for Week 7, but Josh Reynolds, a fellow receiver, is. According to The Lions Wire, running back D’Andre Swift also got the same tag for the game on Sunday.
St. Brown, one of Jared Goff’s most dependable weapons, has played in just four games this year but has already made an impression. He has 27 receptions for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Reynolds’ most recent game was on October 9. In Week 6, the Lions had a bye. Reynolds practised in a restricted capacity on Friday due to a knee issue.
Swift, meanwhile, has been away for a lengthier period of time—since September 25th, to be exact. He can’t play because of a shoulder problem. On Sunday, it seems like the RB will probably depend on game circumstances.
In other injury news for the Lions, WR DJ Chark is listed as out with an ankle problem. Additionally, he hasn’t played since Week 3’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit is undoubtedly not a contender, but when all of these players were healthy, this offence actually appeared to be half-decent.
Reynolds and Swift might actually have a chance to pick up their second victory of 2022 if they can join St. Brown on the field against Dallas. We’ll wait and see.
Micah Parsons and the Cowboys defence should be worried about the final injury report for the Lions, according to ClutchPoints.
