Despite Joel Embiid’s 40 points and James Harden’s nearly triple-double, the Philadelphia 76ers were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs in the end. Of course, the unexpected turn of events sent the NBA Twitterverse into a frenzy.
What in the world is going on with the Sixers?
Doc Rivers and company are at 0-3 on the year. Given that both the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks are teams who are regarded as title contenders, it is understandable that they dropped their first two games against them. But to submit to the Spurs, a group that has made it obvious they are going all-in for Victor Wembanyama? That, however, is a whole different affair.
After Saturday’s game, the Sixers were the brunt of jokes. The club that was expected to be prevailing with an MVP candidate, an All-Star guard, and a rising star in their fold also received a lot of negative fan feedback.
Sixers fans therapy session.
Let it all out.
This is a safe place.

Sixers fall to 0-3 to start the season & I couldn t be more disappointed. There are some GIGANTIC issues this team has that need to be addressed immediately. The energy, the effort, the bench, coaching, you name it. Top to bottom. Embarrassing start to a very promising season.

You know what, move the Sixers to Jersey. Ruining the Philly vibes

The finger-pointing has also begun, with many calling for Doc Rivers to be fired in the wake of the disastrous campaign launch. Despite leading Joel Embiid and the Sixers to consecutive appearances in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Rivers has ultimately failed to demonstrate any meaningful success with the squad.
Stop me if youve heard me say this before but the Sixers will never do anything significant with Doc Rivers coaching them

The Sixers should fire Doc Rivers before he leaves the arena

The criticism of the Sixers won’t stop coming until they make a change. High expectations have been placed on them for the 2022–23 season, and a 0–3 start is definitely not what Philadelphia fans were hoping for from their home team.
Next, the Sixers take on the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers. If they keep having trouble, the complaints and calls to fire Doc Rivers will also get louder.
