We got a sneak peek of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition during the just finished Resident Evil Showcase. Learn more about Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and what its trailer revealed by reading on.
There is already a sizable quantity of information available about the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. The original game and the DLC, titled Winters’ Expansion, are both included in the Gold Edition. New characters are included in this DLC for the Shadows of Rose expansion, the eagerly anticipated third-person mode, and Mercenaries Mode. The Resident Evil Showcase clip highlighted the Shadows of Rose narrative and added details to what was already known.
Recapitulating the plot of the first game, the trailer opened with Ethan’s quest to save his daughter Rose. Additionally, Capcom used this opportunity to showcase the brand-new third-person mode. The trailer begins by showcasing the conclusion of the first game before focusing on Rose 16 years later. It depicts Rose wandering the interior of Castle Dimitrescu while battling both ancient and modern enemies. One of these creatures resembles the monsters from Resident Evil 7 in appearance. It also depicts a giant monster with several faces and a chained creature holding a large sword.
The trailer also demonstrates Rose’s ability in use, as she pushes back and freezes monsters. She can shoot them as a result and dash past them. Her power is also seen guiding her in the right direction, however it’s unclear if this is a feature or a cutscene. Along with the Duke from the original game, Rose can be seen conversing with a duplicate of herself in the game. Only this time, it seems as though Rose is at odds with the Duke. We’re not exactly sure, though, given it has already been reported that the enlargement occurs inside the Megamycete’s head.
The main plot of Shadows Of Rose follows Rose as she makes peace with and attempts to get rid of her powers during her journey through Megamycete’s psyche. Although the exact outcome is unknown, we can be certain that it will deepen our understanding of the Winters family’s narrative.
Release date for Resident Evil Village is October 28, 2022. Click here for additional information about its release.
