The online asymmetrical multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe, which was initially scheduled to release in May of last year alongside Resident Evil Village, was repeatedly delayed until Capcom revealed during the Capcom Showcase for Resident Evil Village that the game is, in fact, still in active development. But Capcom didn’t stop there. Along with the release of Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition and new Resident Evil Village DLC content, Capcom also announced that the game will finally be released in October. This supports earlier rumours that the online multiplayer game would finally release this year, following numerous setbacks.
The goal of the asymmetric online multiplayer game RE:Verse is to defeat the opposing team for each round. Players can either handle one of Resident Evil’s legendary heroes or iconic villains. It’s similar to Dead by Daylight but has less creative gameplay, which renders it unnecessary since Dead by Daylight already features all of your favourite Resident Evil characters.
