In the most recent revision of Ring Magazine’s top ten heavyweight rankings, Tyson Fury is conspicuously absent.
Despite being universally recognised as the best boxer in his division, the WBC heavyweight world champion is not currently listed in the top 10.
Instead, Oleksandr Usyk, the current Ring champion, is in the lead, followed closely by Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
This is due to the fact that Fury abandoned the Ring Magazine heavyweight title in August while pretending to be retired.
As a result, the Ukrainian won the Ring’s championship, which was on the line for the Usyk vs. Joshua rematch.
Ring has not yet made the decision to re-rank him, despite the fact that Fury has already verified rumours that he is not truly retired after all.
It looks that this won’t occur until his next bout on December 3.
