Keegan Murray, a rookie forward, has been given the all-clear and is anticipated to play in his first NBA game on Saturday when the Sacramento Kings take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the Golden 1 Center.

Due to Covid-19, Murray was absent from the Kings’ setback on opening day of the season on Wednesday. But after working out on Thursday and Friday, he was cleared to participate in the Kings’ home game against the Clippers.

Before getting sick, Murray participated in two preseason games for the Kings. He put up a strong performance, scoring 16.0 points on average per game and hitting 70.6 percent of his field goal attempts and 70.0 percent of his three-point attempts.
Murray, who is 6-8 and 215 pounds, was chosen with the fourth overall choice in the NBA draught last spring. For the Iowa Hawkeyes past season, the 22-year-old averaged 23.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He played 31.9 minutes per game on average while making 55.4 percent of his field goal attempts.
Murray had shown promise as a player during the 2020–21 campaign, averaging 7.2 points per game, but he broke out as a star the following year.
In his first two seasons, Murray will make more than $8 million thanks to a rookie scale contract he signed in July.
At the beginning of the season, the youthful forward is likely to start off the bench. Keegan Murray may be in the running for a starting spot, according to head coach Mike Brown.
