The Arizona Cardinals will play the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, and the team has waited until the very last minute to decide on their starting quarterback. According to Ed Werder, Andy Dalton will take the place of Jameis Winston, who was unable to participate in practise for the majority of the week due to a back and ankle injury.
A few reporting items on tonight s #NFL game. I ve been told, as expected, Andy Dalton is starting for the #Saints with Jameis Winston active as QB3. The #Cardinals have package of plays for newly acquired WR Robbie Anderson. Expect him for 10-15 percent of offensive snaps. pic.twitter.com/FQ9bx6KzlT

With Winston out, Dalton has started the previous three games for the Saints. He completed 17 of his 32 attempts for 162 yards and one touchdown in Week 6. In the 30-26 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Taysom Hill also participated with four snaps.
According to reports, Winston will be ready in Week 7, but he won’t play. The quarterback’s last game came against the Carolina Panthers in late September, and he made it very plain at the time that he was in a tonne of agony from numerous ailments. But it’ll be good to have him back out there.
Unfortunately, the Saints’ Thursday challenge won’t be simple. Dalton is without two of his top targets as Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas are still sidelined due to injuries. Chris Olave, a rookie, will therefore be prepared for another significant part. He’s had a great start, leading the WR group with 26 receptions for 389 yards and two scores.
Arizona and New Orleans both have records of 2-4 thus far this season. Both clubs are in desperate need of this victory. Andy Dalton and the Saints will be looking to break the Cardinals’ eight-game losing record at home.
The decision between Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston for Thursday Night Football was made by the Saints, according to ClutchPoints.
