The Los Angeles Lakers player Anthony Davis hit the floor hard during Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and you could nearly hear a pin drop inside the arena. As they saw their star big man laying on the floor, it appeared as though the whole Lakers fan base was holding its collective breath.
After falling for a Kawhi Leonard pump fake, Davis smacked his back hard on the floor, and the Lakers star took some time to get up.

AD hit a three on the following play, but he was visibly in pain as he moved to the other side of the court:

AD resisted being replaced after scoring a triple. But when Lakers coach Darvin Ham finally pulled his star centre out, the player quickly made his way to the locker room:

Thankfully, Davis only needed a brief detour to the locker room before being able to return to the field. After that brief fright, it appeared as though he was fine.
It’s important to note that Davis missed three preseason games due to back spasms. The Lakers superstar will likely have some back testing on Friday, which should help establish whether he will miss any time due to this issue.
Fans of the Lakers are justified in feeling fear every time Anthony Davis strikes the floor. The last thing the Lakers need right now is for them to lose their star for a protracted period of time. This man has a long and well-documented litany of injuries.
